The XCEL Center coordinates annual programs to recognize the work of students involved in leadership positions. These programs include the Fall Student Leadership Meet and greet, the "Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities" program and the Spring "XCELsior Awards".

- Fall Student Leadership Meet & Greet
- Early fall program where faculty, staff, and students involved in leadership positions across campus are invited to come together for an informal reception
- Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities
- Nominations for this award are open to full time Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate Students
- Nominations are available in November

- XCELsior Awards
- Annual end-of-the-year program that takes place in late April/early May
- Dinner, entertainment, and awards program designed to recognize student organizations and their leaders
