The XCEL Center houses a variety of services and tools to help you develop skills and/or address issues related to holding a student leadership position. And the best part is, everything is FREE for students!
Get some new ideas, borrow resources from the Lending Library, or attend a student leadership conference, workshop or speaker series presentation. Download or pick up your copy of the Student Leadership Survival Handbook or the twenty different Student Leadership Development Clearinghouse Brochures.
Browse through current and past issues of the X-File (the student leadership newsletter), or listen to segments from the XCEL radio show "Got Leadership?" about leadership issues/topics/ideas from our own campus station, WHRW.
Click on the areas to the left for more information about the myriad of resources available to assist you and or students with whom you work.
The XCEL Center also coordinates campus-wide student leadership conferences. These FREE half-day programs, held one to two times during the academic year, are open to all students. The conferences are a great way to connect with other students and brush up on leadership skills topics such as communication, time management, leadership transition, delegation, motivation, running effective meetings, goal setting and much more.
